Girl in Translation for #BlogHerBookClub

After a lot of barkdust consuming the last couple days, I have little to say about the rest of our weekend. I do however have a book review I did for BlogHer a few weeks ago to share, so check it out!

What I Wore Wednesday

I apologize for missing a few days this week, but Thursday involved a before-sunrise trip to the hospital and Saturday + Sunday were spent in lounge wear. However, 4 out of 7 isn't a complete WIWW fail, in my opinion.

My neice has finally arrived! Welcome Linnea Elizabeth!

I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the hospital yesterday and join in on the excitement of this first grandbaby/niece on Sam's side of the family. She's beautiful + perfect in every way & I'll tell you right now, this is probably not the last you will see of this precious face! Already counting the days until the next time I get to hold her...

What I Wore Wednesday

I might have said this before, but I really like this feature every week because of a couple reasons: {1} it allows me to keep track of what I'm wearing {and what I'm neglecting}; {2} it provides a venue for feedback from others; and {3} it also allows me to look back on how creative my mood was throughout the past week. Most days a tee + jeans is just perfect for me {see below & most of the past WIWW's}, but some days I find myself in the mood to pull out some less-basic pieces and layer them with my go-to favorites. Simple to many, but fun for me!

Over the Weekend

• Something Borrowed was good {different from the book though}.
• We became a composting household thanks to the city of Salem.
• I fell asleep in the middle of the day {which almost never happens, so it was a highlight}.
• Due to boredom, we had Lily try out some of the baby toys at my in-law's house.

• Sam turned 29!!!
• And we honored both mothers + mothers-t0-be for all their hard work! {missed you mom!}

Another good weekend spent with family, but I am beginning to feel like a broken record every time I say "we're still waiting on our niece's arrival..." {she's about a week past her due date at this point}.

Two Things

First, I want to wish my husband, partner-in-crime, & best friend {above} a big happy birthday today! I can't wait to spend many more birthdays with you!

Secondly, happy mother's day to all the mom's in my life. I wouldn't be where/who I am today if it's wasn't for you all, especially my own mom! And a note to my niece who still hasn't made her appearance: Let's give your mom a mother's day to remember!

What I Wore Wednesday

This week's happenings: a couple work meetings, helping at a resource fair, taking two trips to the dump {outfit not pictured}, and a whole lot of sitting at my desk. I wish there were more exciting events in my life, but alas there aren't. I will tell you that my first niece is set to make her appearance any day now, so I would say she is big event we're waiting on!
