Bridal Showers, woo!

Yup, that's right. I had my first beautiful bridal shower and it was just that - Beautiful! In a short 9 months, I have made two friends I will never forget. These girls, Michelle and Kaity, have provided me with enough insight into the lovely world of marriage. Life isn't perfect, but they make it look a lot easier!

This was a fun game I like to call "Toilet Paper Bride". They only had 5 minutes to create a wedding dress out of toilet paper... turned out a little scandalous if you ask me =)

And this is Kaity and Michelle. Beautiful, yes. But sadly, there were so many pictures being taken at this moment that we are looking at three different directions. And check out that cake - amazing!

Sam and I definitely scored on this shower - a crock pot, baking pans, measuring cups, an iHome, Fiestaware dishes, and much more! I can't wait to get in the kitchen and start cooking something good (hopefully).

Hope you all are having a good Monday and the count down is officially at 60 days - woohoo!

My flower girl...
Enough said =)
In 74 days, I will be married and I can't wait!

I can't say that I am 100% positive that I will be the best wife ever, but I can say that I am ready to start learning!

Lately, one of the big questions I am getting is, "are you nervous?" - I can't say I am... Throughout this engagement, I have been told repeatedly that I am too young to get married and although I may be at then younger end of the spectrum, I can't see myself anywhere else. Call me overly optimistic, but I couldn't be happier with Sam and the couple we will become.

After all this planning and preparing, June 27th can't come soon enough! I am quickly reaching the point that this day will truly be out of my hands and I'm okay with that. If there is rain, then that will be fine. If someone walks out of order, the day will go on. Because at the end of the day, I will be Mrs. Grable and I will have the man of my dreams to kiss me goodnight. Like I said, I can't wait!!!

For Donna!

This Easter I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with my family-to-be. All of the "kids" were together (in the same town) and we all got a family picture with everyone! I can't wait to see them because there was a few funny ones in there =)

Anyways, the reason I post this is not to brag about a great family (although they are), but instead to talk about a song that was sung at their church that day. It was performed by a father and his college-aged daughters, who are very musically talented! It's called Came to My Rescue and as soon as they began singing the chorus, I could feel my heart start to sink (in a good way). The song touched me more than any other song I have heard thus far. Although I am not in a place where I physically need rescuing, I feel like it is a reminder that God is always there to come to our rescue. And in a way, the Grable's came to my rescue in that God has used them to open my eyes and trust in the unknown more than I ever had before. They are a family of Faith and they show it every day with their patience and obedience to God's calling.

If you'd like to check out the song, I found it on YouTube being performed by Hillsong United.
