28 Weeks!
How Far Along: 28 Weeks!
Size of Baby: a small cabbage {17 in, 2.9 lbs} according to What To Expect.
Maternity Clothes: All maternity, all the time! Since we're transitioning into colder weather (at least when I leave in the morning), I'm interested to see how my jackets/sweaters fit into this phase of life. Thank goodness for open cardigans :)
Gender: a sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: It definitely seems like she's much more active in the afternoon/evening time than in the morning.
Sleep: Even though she's active, I'm still able to sleep through the night, which I'm thankful for!
What I miss: The excitement I had at the beginning of the pregnancy... don't get me wrong, I am excited to meet her in just a couple months, but we still have a few unknowns that won't get answered until she's here.
Cravings: Breads have been at the top of my list this week.
Other crazy symptoms: I'm starting to feel some pain in my back, but that could also be because I sit at a desk all day. My goal is to get up and move around more to see if that makes any difference.
Best Moment this week: We got to see our little girl at our appointment this week, which always eases my worrying heart some. I also got to see a lot of family + friends from CA this weekend!

2012 Scarf Swap
For the 4th year in a row, Meredith from {the tichenor family} graciously hosted her annual scarf swap. Since I loved this swap last year and feel as though accessories are one of the only things that still fit from my pre-pregnancy days, I couldn't think of a reason not to participate!
This year, I was paired up with Mateya, a new mom of an adorable little boy! Through the beauty of emails & a little blog reading, I was able to find a little bit about Mateya's style and hopefully pick a scarf that would reflect her. Ultimately, I chose one of The Pleated Poppy's ruffled scarves for it's unique style & versatility.
As for the scarf she picked out for me - I love it! I gave her a few colors that were lacking in my scarf collection, but let her have free range when it came to pattern & overall style. And let me tell you, she didn't disappoint with this purple beauty!
Mateya, thank you so much for my scarf & extra goodies. I hope you enjoy your scarf as much as I will enjoy mine!

#fmsphotoaday September Week 3
Last week feels like a blur. A big part of that is due to flying in late last night & being at work this morning {why oh why didn't I take the morning off?}, but another part of it is that with each passing week, my list of to-do's seems to grow longer, especially when it comes to preparing for the newest Grable making her appearance in a couple months. However, I was showered with love + gifts by family & friends this weekend and I have to say that I don't think I'd trade this busy life for much right now :)
How is your September going?
+ Day 17 - in my fridge
+ Day 18 - price {of baby gear}
+ Day 19 - underneath {there is a room under all that baby stuff}
+ Day 20 - man-made {the beautiful dresser Sam's dad built us}
+ Day 21 - sometimes {I find myself flying away}
+ Day 22 - up {& away again}
+ Day 23 - before bedtime {I'll be home again}

Me, Right Now.
This space hasn't had a whole lot going on besides photo-a-day posts & our weekly pregnancy posts, so I thought it might be nice to put some of my thoughts into words and give you a look into what I am thinking about right now {albeit still mainly baby related}...
WORKING ON: Organizing. Some may call it nesting, but others who know me well might just think it's just me :) And while our house isn't any sort of black hole, I'm feeling the need to find a place for everything because the last thing I want is to feel is stressed.
WORKING ON: Organizing. Some may call it nesting, but others who know me well might just think it's just me :) And while our house isn't any sort of black hole, I'm feeling the need to find a place for everything because the last thing I want is to feel is stressed.
THINKING ABOUT: Short term - spending the weekend down in California with my mom & allowing family + friends to shower me with love & gifts! Long term -
our future & what meeting our little girl will be like in a few
short months. While nothing new has really shown up at our prenatal
appointments, there are still a few unknowns that we're waiting to see
play out.
ANTICIPATING: December! There is almost nothing that I can think of that compares to how I feel when I think about holding Charlotte in my arms. And while it's still months away, I'm sure it will fly by!
LISTENING TO: My Glee station on Pandora. It's a mix of some of my favorites and gets me singing along as soon as I turn it on.
EATING: Sometimes it feels like whatever I can get my hands on, but fruit has been a favorite for a few weeks - grapes, pineapple, watermelon, and boxes & boxes of apples, care of a loving coworker {thanks Lindsay + family!}.
THANKFUL FOR: Family & friends who have been loving us through the good + bad lately. The calls & texts to check-in, the hugs & long conversations about our joys + fears, and most of all, the prayers for Charlotte. Call me biased, but I think we've got some of the best people on our side!
PLANNING FOR: Seems obvious, right? We're doing our best to plan for what life will be like post-Charlotte :) We're getting her nursery space all set up and with the help of loved ones, we're accumulating a lot of things that will help care for her {clothes, diapers, baby gear, etc.} and so we'll keep planning + dreaming about the day we get to meet our precious little girl.
What's been on your mind lately?

27 Weeks!
How Far Along: 27 Weeks!
Size of Baby: a head of cauliflower {16 in, 2.5 lbs} according to What To Expect.
Maternity Clothes: I got a new pair of jeans & am hopeful they'll carry me through the end {fingers crossed}.
Gender: a sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: I love the reassurance that she gives when she moves & kicks. It seems she's most active after lunch, which is when I'm usually the most tired :)
Sleep: Still sleeping through the night & very thankful for that!
What I miss: Not getting winded whenever I walk up the stairs...
Cravings: Still loving fruit, but this week has been about whatever fills me up.
Other crazy symptoms: None that I can think of.
Best Moment this week: Moving forward with the nursery --- we received a dresser from Sam's parents and our next step is to refinish it so I can start putting adorable little baby things away.

#fmsphotoaday September Week 2
As cliche as I am about to sound, September is flying by! I mean, I feel like I blinked and it was just the start of summer. But alas, we're half way through the month and about 3 months away from meeting our baby girl {which is mind-blowing in and of itself}!!!
Does anyone else wish there was some way to slow down time?
+ Day 10 - black & white {baby Charlotte}
+ Day 11 - hero {this man next to me; he provides and cares for us through good times & bad}
+ Day 12 - together {dinner + games with friends}
+ Day 13 - table {in real life: half dinner, half laundry}
+ Day 14 - favorite {niece}
+ Day 15 - first thing I see {when we walk down the stairs... Our NEW piano!}
+ Day 16 - strange {wearing white after Labor Day and not caring about fashion rules}

26 Weeks!
How Far Along: 26 Weeks!
Size of Baby: a cucumber {15 in, 2.2 lbs} according to What To Expect.
Maternity Clothes: I feel like a broken record, but still wearing mostly maternity and will probably be until the end. I can still squeeze into a few tops that aren't maternity, but as far as pants and dresses go - it's all maternity all the time.
Gender: a sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: Lots and I love it! There have even been a few times where you can see her shift from one side to another and that's cool too!
Sleep: Minor problems that I'm not sure are even problems because I was never one to really sleep in and now I just seem to wake up earlier than usual.
What I miss: Not worrying to much... I keep reminding myself that I need to take each day one at a time or else I will make myself go crazy with worry and that's not good for either baby or I.
Cravings: Fruit - apples, pineapple, grapes, & strawberries!
Other crazy symptoms: None that I can think of.
Best Moment this week: Getting the chance to see a few 3D images of our baby girl! It's amazing that she'll be making her appearance in just 3 months!

#fmsphotoaday September Week 1
Well September is here, but besides the month changing & work getting a little busier, it still feels like Summer around here. I guess we'll try to take advantage of all the nice weather we can get until it's gone again.

+ Day 5 - bright {apples + peanut butter}
+ Day 6 - every day {vitamins}
+ Day 7 - natural {our hands fitting together}
+ Day 8 - at night {dinner with my mom + brother at one of my favorite places}

25 Weeks!
How Far Along: 25 Weeks!
Size of Baby: {still} an eggplant {9.2 in, 2 lbs} according to What To Expect.
Maternity Clothes: My sweet grandma sent me some money to spend on myself, so I'm looking for a few pieces that will carry me through the rest of this pregnancy - any {inexpensive} go-to places for Maternity besides Gap, Old Navy, & Target?
Gender: a sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: Yes and it seems like lots of it from the inside.
Sleep: I seem to fall asleep quickly and at least make it through the night without waking up, so that's a positive in my book.
What I miss: Feeling energetic. This week has been a tired one for me and yet, I don't feel like I do much.
Cravings: Apples + peanut butter this week.
Other crazy symptoms: None that I can think of.
Best Moment this week: The movement still tops my list of "bests" this week and not to mention the longer weekend to spend with family was nice :)

#photoadayaug Week 5
Well August came & went. Of course it feels like we didn't do anything, but if I had to sum the month up with one word, it would probably be 'hopeful'.
How was your August?
+ Day 27 - tap {my go-to for water + ice}
+ Day 28 - clock
+ Day 29 - down {my view over the bump}
+ Day 30 - card(s) {baby shower invites}
+ Day 31 - hidden {under a blanket, except for some toes peaking out}
